New Album "ALMOST NAKED" Now Available on BANDCAMP & iTUNES

I am really happy to announce my new album "Almost Naked" is here!

Over the last year I have been recording song ideas on my ukulele into my phone and including the odd uke demo on my new releases.
Often I liked those demos as much, if not more, than the finished song.

So with this release I took 16 demos, some serious, some silly, some fun, all of which were recorded on my phone and, in some cases, added some extra instruments and in some cases left them naked.

In the case of "Take This Shortcut With Me" I had recorded some subway drumming on my phone, in New York's Union Sq station, I looped that and played the song, into my phone, of course, over the top of it.

The result, I hope, is a rough and ready, joyful and engaging experience.

Stream it & buy it on BANDCAMP
Sample it & but it on iTUNES

Spotify, Google Play, Amazon etc. COMING SOON!

Parts 1 & 2 of ALL NEW Double Album "Wake Up, It's Not Over" NOW Available EVERYWHERE

My new album "Wake Up, It's Not Over" has arrived in two awesome parts!

Why two parts I hear you cry?

Well, after just one weekend in Massachusetts with the awesome Jay Mayo, I had enough content for one great album.

Then, checking at home, I almost had enough songs for a whole second album and, indeed, after a few more recordings, I did!

All the songs are on a similar theme and so it made sense to package them all together but, also, I wanted the weekend of work Jay and I did to stand out alone, as it has a different sound to the songs I did myself at home. So, two parts, I thought, that works.

Both parts are available, in their entirety, to stream and buy on Bandcamp:
Part One
Part Two

However, because Part One had some cover songs on it, when I uploaded the albums to Spotify, iTunes etc. I removed the cover songs and pushed the two parts together into one album.
This hybrid album is available for streaming and/or purchase on:
Spotify
iTunes
Google Play
Amazon
YouTube
and wherever music is found

Please please please don't forget to rate, review and share the albums wherever and whenever possible!! THANKS!

Videos of Misc Plumbing Fixtures playing with Jay Mayo and Motern Media’s Matt Farley

The weekend of July 11th 2015 I headed off through New England with my good friend Jay Mayo from the Hold the Mayo Podcast.

We recorded some songs on the road and also recorded two new compositions in the Motern Media recording studios, in the basement of Matt Farley’s house in Massachusetts.

While we did all this we were documenting it all on camera and so for your viewing pleasure you can watch these 3 music videos from the weekend below.

Miscellaneous Plumbing Fixtures collaborates with the legendary Matt Farley from Motern Media and stand-up comedy great Jay Mayo

During an impromptu and last minute New England visit, I joined forces with Jay Mayo from the Hold The Mayo Podcast and, the famously prolific, Matt Farley from Motern Media.
In a motel room, a car and lastly a basement studio we put together 5 new songs.
Rough, acoustic, written on the road and recorded quickly, The New England Weekend Jams EP is not only an excellent documentation of three friends determination to create and have fun but also a message to everyone that you can collaborate and create anywhere, right now, today.

Badtime Banjolele released in TWO Versions

"10 VERY jolly songs about REALLY painful shit."

This year the plan is to release as many 10 track themed albums as possible. So we had the Weekend Album written and recorded in a weekend, The Pleasencing! all about Donald Pleasence and now Badtime Banjolele!

This album started off simply as the idea:
“what if I just do an album, 10 tracks, written and performed only on the banjolele?" It seemed like something of a fun challenge for me. Well what emerged was something that I personally consider, with no hint of ego or hyperbole, some of my best stuff.

I am so happy with the songs on the album, in fact, that I am releasing two versions, a regular ten track edition and a special edition with 6 song demos and a whole extra bonus track.

The name of the album started as a joke. The idea was that I would call it Bedtime Banjolele because there’s nothing sexy about a banjo uke and then that became Badtime Banjolele just because I liked the connotation of that and it sounded a bit like Ragtime. As the songs emerged, though, the title just seemed more and more appropriate!

I really really hope you love the album too and spread it around, share it, talk about it but most of all listen to it! listen to it as much as possible!
Thank you so much for all your support
